Alba Redondo: "It would be a dream to be at the Olympic Games"

The Spanish international and world champion last August appeared before the media after training.

The player from Albacete said she was "very happy to be back with the national team" and was looking forward to "contributing all she can during this very special international break”.

In the next two matches the national team have an exciting and ambitious two-pronged goal in front of them: to win a new competition in the shape of the UEFA Women's Nations League and to cement their place at the Olympic Games in Paris this coming July and August.

The Spanish international also stated her faith in the squad of players, saying that she sees a group of players with a lot of enthusiasm and desire to continue making history. The Levante UD Femenino player has been enthusiastic about her return to the Spanish national team setup and also acknowledged that "achieving the next step and being able to play at the Olympic Games is one of my dreams".

Finally, Alba Redondo urged Spain fans to come to the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville to cheer on the national team and, hopefully, to celebrate together a possible place in the final and their resulting qualification for Paris 2024.

Prior to the press conference, the team trained on Field C at the Ciudad del Fútbol, continuing their preparations for the UWNL semi-final against the Netherlands (Friday 28 February at 21:00).
