Albert Luque, new director of the Spanish National Football Team

José Molina will leave the sports management of the RFEF in January 2023

The National Team will face a building with a new management model of the sports field after the decision of José Francisco Molina not to renew his contract and to end his stage in the RFEF after the World Cup in Qatar to make way for a new sports project.

Albert Luque will be the new director of the National Team. Francis Hernández, who will remain as coordinator of the lower teams, and will be his deputy. José Francisco Molina will leave the sports management at the beginning of 2023.

Molina joined the RFEF in 2018. Under his management, the National Team won two UEFA Nations League Final Fours and a Euro 2020 semi final. As sports director and head of all the men's teams, he also won a European under-21 , a European under-19 and an Olympic silver medal in Tokyo 2020, among other successes.

After the World Cup in Qatar, he will face new professional challenges. The RFEF thanks Molina for his professionalism, his work and his commitment to the growth of the National Team and Spanish football.
