Ancelloti: "FC Barcelona played better and deserved to win"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared at the press conference after losing the Spanish Supercopa final 1-3 against FC Barcelona. He said that his team had played "a bad game", but it was not due to a lack of attitude. "They played better and deserved it", he said.

"We are very hurt because Real Madrid wants to win every final, and today we lost it", he reflected, without detracting from their opponents: "Taking into account all the mistakes we made, Barcelona played better".

Ancelotti pointed out that his team is experiencing "not a critical moment, but a difficult, complicated one, as it usually happens during a season". "We have to put it right soon, with the same commitment and attitude as always", he said.

"We have conceded three goals, so we have to improve the defence", he clarified, but he made it clear that this is not something that always happens. "This team has the quality to be competitive again in any competition", he said. "Real Madrid is back: there is no doubt about that", he concluded his speech in the King Fahd press room.
