Ancelotti: "We're going to give it our all to win the Super Cup"

The Whites are already preparing for the crucial match against their neighbours Atlético de Madrid in a derby that will kick off the latest edition of the ever-exciting Spanish Super Cup.

Having reached the final in all three of the previous editions played in Saudi Arabia and having lifted the title in two of them, Real Madrid will be looking forward to competing for the first title of the season with a lot of motivation. Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said he sees his team ready to "fight for the Super Cup and give everything to win it. We are getting key players back fit and we will be ready".

Ancelotti also praised their next opponents, Atlético Madrid: "They are a team that competes, fights for every ball and has quality. The game will be very evenly matched and we will have to be at our best". The Italian coach also mentioned his counterpart on the red and white bench: "I know Simeone well and I respect him a lot".

For his part, Fede Valverde highlighted how excited Real Madrid are to be competing for the first title of the season in a match that is always special: the Madrid derby.

The Uruguayan reiterated that "it's always great to fight for a title. Playing this type of game against one of the best teams in Spain and the world is special and we want to show our fans that we are ready to fight for everything".

 

 

After the press conferences, Real Madrid are to hold their official training session at the Al-Nassr facilities just over 24 hours before facing Atlético de Madrid when they will try to book their place in the final.
