Ancelotti: "We deserved the Copa, not just for what we did today"

The Real Madrid manager highlights his successes: "Tomorrow we will appreciate even more what we have achieved in the last two seasons".

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's manager, spoke at a press conference after the first celebrations on the green of the Estadio de La Cartuja for his tenth title at the helm of the club. The Italian coach considered that he deserved the Copa championship, "not only because of what we have done today", and spoke of a disputed and hard-fought match with different parts of the match.

"The first thirty minutes we played very well; but then we didn't go into the dressing room at halftime calm," he reflected. "Rodrygo changed the dynamic," he said, referring to the image given by his team in the second half, from the restart until the second goal of the man of the match...,

"Osasuna put in a lot of crosses, we were well positioned in the box and we were better at the back than in recent times", said Ancelotti in response to journalists. A good image in defense that, undoubtedly, allows him to be optimistic about future challenges. The Italian did not delve into them, preferring to launch this proposal to take stock of what has been done: "Tomorrow we will appreciate what we have achieved, not only tonight but also in the last two seasons".
