Ancelotti – Xavi, the most anticipated greeting

The majestic King Fahd stadium has witnessed the meeting between the two coaches who are competing to win the Spanish Supercopa title: Carlo Ancelotti, from Real Madrid, and Xavi Hernández, from Fútbol Club Barcelona. The two head coaches were the protagonists of the traditional official pose prior to the grand final on Sunday.

After 12 noon in Riyadh both coaches stepped out onto the pitch of the final stage. In a relaxed and close atmosphere they have shared confidences and impressions on the grass for a few minutes. There the Supercopa trophy was waiting for them to pose with, resulting in an image that has already gone down in the history of the competition.

It will be the first time that Real Madrid and FC Barcelona meet in the final of the #superSupercopa since it changed to the current format, a "final four" in a spectacular setting. Last season both coaches faced each other in the semifinal of the tournament with a victory for Real Madrid, who later lifted the title to the skies of Riyadh.

Apart from the last official training sessions, scheduled for this afternoon, everything is ready in Riyadh for Real Madrid and Barça to fight in this Clásico to add the first title of the year to their showcases.
