April showers of love, hugs and a thousand photos
Montse Tomé’s squad has started April in the best possible way—receiving the love and support of their fans at La Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. And it wasn’t just the public showing their support; they also had two very special visitors. Tere Abelleira, who is recovering from injury, came along to see her teammates, with the Real Madrid midfielder surprising them in an emotional afternoon of catch ups.
They were also visited by Laura del Río’s Under-16 National Team, who are in training camp until tomorrow.
With bright sunshine and pleasant spring temperatures, the squad trained in preparation for their upcoming double header against Portugal during this current international break.
Pitch A hosted national team supporters in its stands, and after the session, they had the chance to take photos with their favourite players and get their autographs too. It was an unforgettable afternoon for the youngsters who got the chance to meet the World Cup and Nations League champions, sending the little ones home with beaming smiles and hearts full of excitement—the same energy they passed on to the players.
