Arrasate: "This match should be an experience we can learn from"

The coach believes that his team had enough chances to win the game, both while level at 0-0 and after they fell behind on the scoreboard.

Jagoba Arrasate, Club Atlético Osasuna manager, spoke after the semi-final against FC Barcelona with the feeling that they could have won the game. "You need efficiency in front of goal to win these games, as such, I feel a little bit angry because I think we had opportunities to take the lead," he said.

The Navarrese coach stated that those chances to score came both with the score still level at 0-0 and again after they had gone behind. However, their good performance did not result in a goal, despite the fact that he felt his team had "competed well". "This match should be an experience we can learn from for the rest of the season," he said.

Arrasate was also grateful for the presence of some 600 loyal fans who cheered his team on throughout the match. To both the supporters in the stadium and to those watching on from back home in Pamplona, Jagoba sent a message of hope: "We still have a lot to play for" this season.

"Next week it's the Copa del Rey and we're looking to go far in the competition," continued Arrasate, before clarifying that the upcoming Cup match had not influenced the starting 11 he selected for the match in Riyadh.
