Athenea del Castillo, who was in the starting line-up in Friday's victory against Costa Rica, sums up her thoughts during the World Cup briefly but forcefully: "I'm not under pressure, I'm excited".

The skilful winger from Cantabria has dissected various aspects of their last performance to evaluate them and improve the national team after their victory against Costa Rica in the first game of the group, saying "the important thing is that we created a lot of opportunities. The team knows where to focus to keep on improving, for example, making more of chances to shoot from outside the box more".

Athenea has described the positive atmosphere among the players in the training camp, stressing that "having our families here is a plus, as well as the relationships with our teammates and how we have fun by playing pool, for example".

The Spanish international has adapted perfectly to the southern winter and says she prefers playing in the cold, but that "the important thing is to adapt, and the team knows how to".

Zambia now appear as the immediate challenge coming up soon, and Athenea warns that "they are a team who are really strong in transition. We've been watching all their games and one they played against Japan is a bit misleading.

She is confident going into the match, as she is for the World Cup overall. Feelings she also has for her teammates, as she explains "each and every one of us who is here is here for a reason. We work every day to get better and to contribute more to the team".
