Benzema: "To win the final, we have to look towards ourselves"
The Real Madrid forward appreciates the support received from the Saudi fans: "I hope we play a good game and can take the trophy home"
Forward Karim Benzema was the star of Real Madrid's evening press conference, just before the team in white trained at the Al-Nassr facilities. Benzema expressed the desire the Madrid squad has to win the Supercopa in front of some fans, in Saudi Arabia, who were numerous in the first game against Valencia: "I hope we play a good game and can take the trophy home."

Karim Benzema pointed out the importance of the match, like any final, against a rival, FC Barcelona, who "as always, are a great team". Far from assessing the opponent in more depth, Benzema said: "We have to look towards us, not towards them", minutes before the last training session, which was to take place minutes later.

The Supercopa tournament is “very important” for Real Madrid, pointed out the attacker: “At Real Madrid they ask us to win titles and that's why we're here. It will be a difficult match but we want to win this final”, he emphasized.
Regarding his role in the team, Benzema expressed his desire to be able to "contribute to the maximum" for Real Madrid, and stated that he was in good shape in all aspects. “I'm fine, mentally as well; I am focused on my role and on tomorrow's very important match”, he summed up.
