Borja Iglesias and Yeremy Pino are called up with the Spanish National Team; Gerard Moreno is pulled out of the list

There have been some last minute changes to Luis de la Fuente's call-up for the Spanish national team stage, which starts on Monday. Gerard Moreno will not be in the squad after suffering a muscle injury on Sunday in the match between Villarreal and Osasuna in Pamplona, apart from Pedri's withdrawal announced on Friday. Due to the situation, the technical staff has decided to call up Yeremy Pino and Borja Iglesias.

Yeremy Pino is 20 years old and he had been called up by Santi Denia for the Under-21s. He was also part of the World Cup in Qatar and has played six games, wearing the Spain jersey. For his part, Borja Iglesias made his debut last September at La Romareda against Switzerland. That has been the only game he has played with the national team.

In this way, Luis de la Fuente sticks to his idea of having 26 players to prepare the matches that the Spanish national team will play in March. These are the first matches of the national coach from La Rioja at the head of the national team and the first of the qualifying phase for the 2024 European Championship to be held in Germany. Spain will play against Norway on Saturday 25th at La Rosaleda (20.45) and on Tuesday 28th, they will visit Glasgow to play against Scotland at Hampden Park (20.45).

This Monday, the players will start the stage at 13:00 and the first training session with Luis de la Fuente will take place at 19:00 in the evening. The training session will be open to the public and it will be held at the main stadium of Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas.
