The three debutants share their excitement after making their debut with the Spanish national team

La Cartuja, already a special and enchanting venue, will always remain in the memory of three young players who were baptized there with Spain. Bryan Zaragoza, Fran García, and Oihan Sancet wore the national team shirt for the first time this Thursday, in the commendable victory against Scotland (2-0) that puts the national team very close to qualifying for the 2024 Eurocopa. That is never forgotten.

After the break, following a hard-fought first half, Fran García and Bryan Zaragoza took to the Andalusian turf, replacing Alejandro Balde and Mikel Oyarzabal. The substitutions were announced over the loudspeaker, and the players received recognition from the 45,623 spectators gathered at La Cartuja, the Seville fans who are always tireless.

"It's incredible," reflected Bryan Zaragoza from within the Sevillian temple, wearing the number 10 and numerous memorable moments. "It's what a child dreams of from a young age. I have no words to describe this moment." In the stands, many family members and friends of a player who has had a fantastic start to the season were present. "I will keep the shirt with lots of love for my entire life."

Fran García, wearing the number 19, also found no words. "An incredible dream to represent your country; hopefully, it's the first of many." On nights like this, it's a moment to remember my loved ones. "Especially the people who have helped me when things weren't going so well, people who helped you keep growing and take steps when it was hardest. Family, friends, the closest people... This is for them." The full-back will also keep the shirt. "I will try to keep it in a special place."

In the 67th minute, the moment for Oihan Sancet arrived as he came on for Mikel Merino. The Athletic Club player played a very active role in Spain's creation and ventured into the Scottish area, so much so that he scored the second goal in the 86th minute. It's hard to have a better debut with the national team, exuberant in a celebration that epitomizes the unity of this team.

"It's the dream debut. The most important thing was to win, and we achieved it. Furthermore, with a debut and helping the team with a goal, I'm very happy." He wore the number 2, a very special shirt. "It's a historic number at Athletic because of Gaizka (Toquero), it was the available number, and I took it without any problem."
