With the pairings RCD Mallorca - Real Sociedad and Atlético Madrid - Athletic Club, we now know what the two clashes for a place in the final on 6 April in Seville are.

The draw held this Friday at the Ciudad del Fútbol set up the penultimate round of this year's Copa, the only round held over two legs. Out came the pairings RCD Mallorca - Real Sociedad and Club Atlético de Madrid - Athletic Club to decided the draw.

Two exciting semi-finals will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for the week of 5 February and the return matches scheduled for the week of 26 February. The first legs will take place at Son Moix and Civitas Metropolitano, respectively, with the return legs at Anoeta and San Mamés.  An exciting last step on the way to the final, which will be held on 6 April at the Estadio La Cartuja in Seville.

In just 10 weeks' time, we will know the winner of this year's Cup. Now, with the semi-final draw complete, all that remains is for the ball, for the penultimate time in this Copa del Rey season, to get rolling on the pitch.

This is how the draw went

The only two-legged ties of the Copa del Rey were decided in the final cup draw of the season. Once again, a total spectacle, with a live artistic performance, broadcast live to different points and famous names drawing the teams.

Toni Ortiz, a plastic artist, surprised the audience with an original creation: the representation of the Copa del Rey in a mosaic... all separated at first, and then subsequently, the arrangement of the pieces made up the image of the trophy.

Among the live connections to players, Haritz Elustondo, Real Sociedad player, attended to the cameras from the Zubieta facilities, while Dani Rodríguez represented RCD Mallorca.

Ander Herrera and Mario Hermoso linked up live to represent Athletic Club and Club Atlético de Madrid respectively.

The players drawing the teams also represented the four competing clubs, and were proper clubs legends: Luis Arconada (winner in 1987 with Real Sociedad), Leo Franco (winner in 2003 with RCD Mallorca), Andoni Goikoetxea (winner with Athletic in 1984) and Miguel Ángel Ruiz (winner in 1985 with Atlético de Madrid) were responsible for removing the balls from the pot.

The ex-players, as "representatives" of the four clubs, took it in turns to draw balls. They went in the order of the number of titles won by their respective teams, and as such we found out the semi-final pairings
