Cup Success nothing new | 24th trophy for the Lions, first of the 21st century

The 120th edition of the Copa del Rey saw its grand finale this Saturday at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville with a thrilling final decided by a penalty shoot out for Athletic Club.

It is the twenty-fourth historic trophy for the Basque club, who have lifted the trophy again after forty years without doing so and, curiously, in their fortieth final.

With this title, the Lions add to their trophy cabinet in this century after having won the most trophies in the last century.
