Spain international Dani Carvajal answered questions from reporters on Monday on the eve of the big preparatory match against Brazil: "Tomorrow I want to help my team-mates stop the Brazilian forwards. We have a very good national team and we can beat them.

Strong words from the Real Madrid player, who will return to the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday, what he says is "the best possible stage", according to the player from Leganes, who expressed his desire to "play a great game and be able to beat them. I hope it will be a great day".

A day to fight intolerance and racism thanks to the joint initiative of the RFEF and the Brazilian Football Confederation, to be held in Spain, a country that for Carvajal "is not racist at all. I grew up in a humble neighbourhood in Leganés and with people of different nationalities and origins, many of them friends of mine. I know from my own experience that Spain is not a racist country. Our level of integration is very high".

Carvajal says he is experiencing "one of my best seasons thanks to enjoying continuity, although in the national team we have a large group of players who can be in the squads and any of them can be counted on for their quality".

As such, he congratulated the young squad members for always showing solid commitment to the team with less than three months before the European Championships: "I'm here to contribute. We all want to win championships and these can only be won by everyone pulling in the same direction," he said.
