The player from Leganés (Madrid), who this Thursday turns 32, is going through one of the sweetest moments of his career and once again demonstrated his qualities during the match against Atletico Madrid.

In what was an outstanding presence at right-back, Dani Carvajal set up Ferland Mendy for Real Madrid's second goal, before firing home the equaliser with just five minutes remaining in normal time.
In extra time, and after a long evening putting in a solid shift both going forward and defensively, the man voted best player of the semi-final sealed Real Madrid's qualification with a cross to Joselu that rebounded off centre-back Stefan Savic, who scored the decisive goal in the form of an own goal.
It was a demonstration of talent and determination in equal measure that was rewarded at the Al-Awwal stadium in Riyadh, where Real Madrid will play in the final of the Super Cup this Sunday.
"In the end, my calves were really tight".
At the press conference, Dani Carvajal admitted that at the end of the game he was suffering from physical problems. "My calf muscles were getting worse, but I told myself I had to keep going and, in the end, with the pass to Joselu, we were able to win the game".
"There's no better way to celebrate my birthday than with this match," joked the defender about a game in which he felt "confident" in front of goal. A match that he said he "enjoyed", just as he tries to enjoy every match he plays. He does so, he said, accompanied by a group that he says has "a good dynamic".
