"Everyone who likes football wants to see this game". With the assertiveness that characterises him, Dani Carvajal appeared at a press conference on Thursday before facing the challenge of the quarter-finals of the European Championship against the hosts.

For the player from Leganes, "Germany have world-class players and are very similar to us in terms of the characteristics of their players", so he expects a very even match in Stuttgart, during which "the finer details will be the decisive factors", in a duel in which "there is mutual respect between the two teams".

A year ago, Carvajal's penalty in the UEFA Nations League final shootout gave Spain the title and the full-back still believes that "with confidence and energy any player at this level is capable of converting a penalty", so he could repeat the feat this Friday if it comes to fruition against the Germans.

Germany will be playing at home, but that doesn't worry the Spaniard, because "although a very heated atmosphere is expected, there will be a lot of Spanish fans coming and for them and for those at home we will give everything to win".

Dominating the various phases of the match will be key for Carvajal, where "you have to know how to suffer while the opposition are better and impose yourself when the game goes your way. You have to know how to take your chances".

The atmosphere in the team couldn't be better in Dani's opinion, we have "a very good feeling with the teammates who are calm, confident and energetic, although we always face every game with a lot of humility and what we don't know how not to leave it all out there on the pitch", he concluded.
