Dani Ceballos is back ready to wear the red jersey and happy for the call-up that confirms the good moment he is going through. The Real Madrid CF midfielder had not been called up to the national team for more than two years and a half. The last time he played as an international was in October 2020 in a match against Ukraine in Kiev. Now the Andalusian is back and he is excited about this new opportunity, focusing on Spain's two matches in March. On Saturday, in Malaga, they kick off the qualifiers for Euro 2024 against Norway and three days later, on Tuesday 28th, they will play in Glasgow against Scotland.

Luis de la Fuente has always held Ceballos in high esteem, and the Andalusian midfielder has been involved in a number of successes with the youth teams. Now he is back in the Spanish National Team, in which he made his debut in September 2018, and he trusts the coach a lot. "I have experienced some of the most beautiful moments of my career with Luis, such as the U-19 and U-21 European Championship titles. I've known him for many years, he has a temperamental personality and he is very emotional. For this type of national team, with such young players, he is the ideal national coach to further enhance these players’ abilities".

Ceballos is happy now he's back and he wants to make the most of this new opportunity: "It's been almost three years since I had the last opportunity to play with the national team. I'm very excited and looking forward to it. I knew that I would have this opportunity again and now it's time to enjoy it. I want to enjoy myself on the pitch," says the Andalusian very enthusiastic because, there is nothing more beautiful than listening to the anthem of your country, as he says. "A player dream of being a professional when he is a child and when he achieves it, he wants to reach the elite, which is the national team. There is nothing greater".

This is the dream of a player who, at the age of 26, is living a wonderful moment, enjoying quality minutes and aware of how demanding will be these two matches he will play with Spain. "We have one dream, Euro 2024. This qualification phase begins surrounded by our fans and against a very young and competitive national team (Norway). However, I think we can do big things". These are Dani Ceballos words, a very talented international player who is ready to assume his responsibility. "I would like to be a role model".
