Dani Olmo: ‘I feel important’.
‘The best thing in these last five years have been many, the debut, the first title, my first goal, the participation in tournaments.... I have very good memories. I've also had some bad moments, but that helps you grow. Football doesn't stop, we have new objectives and that's what we're working on. The most immediate objective is tomorrow, we want to take the three points,’ reflected Dani Olmo when asked about the fact that this Friday will mark five years since his debut with the Spanish national team.

On his start to the season, the midfielder confirmed: ‘I feel important, I'm one of the players who has played the most games for Barça. I feel good helping the team on and off the pitch, we have a very good team and that's the strength we have and what unites us, off the pitch we have a fantastic relationship’.
‘Do I need motivation to play for the national team? Not at all. I don't need any extra motivation. Just to play my game, to represent my country, that's lucky. I always do it with ambition and desire’, smiled Olmo when answering the media.

Regarding the calendar, he insisted that ‘it is an issue that has already been discussed and should be considered. The most complicated thing is getting enough rest and it is important’.
‘I already knew the player I was, maybe some people know me better now because I play in Spain. I knew what I could give to the club and the national team. At Barça I knew I was going to be good because I know many of my teammates, it was easy to adapt,’ said Dani Olmo about his season.
‘The Ballon d'Or is very fair. The years that Rodri has been doing, with the Euros victory cherry on top, I think he deserved it. There were other candidates with many possibilities, like Carvajal. To be able to be at the gala and see Rodri celebrate with his family was very nice. His speech speaks for itself, he transmits what many of us feel. Spanish football came out on top that day,’ explained the midfielder about the Ballon d'Or.
Dani Olmo concluded the press conference by insisting that: ‘It's very important to be top of the group, we want to win tomorrow's game. The objective is to win and play the second match of the window at home in front of our own fans’.
