Dani Olmo was the undisputed standout player of the quarter-final battle against Germany.

The midfielder was responsible for opening the scoring with a calmly taken shot from the edge of the area and for providing, with a magnificent cross, the assist that Mikel Merino converted into the goal that took Spain into the semi-finals.

Dani highlighted the difficulty of the match in the press conference, saying that "we expected this difficulty, but we did a great job and we deserved to win".

The midfielder, assessing his night as MVP, recalled that "I've been lucky enough to have very good nights with the national team. Today we have to leave satisfied".

Finally, Dani, analysing the match, stressed that "from this game I'll take the team's attitude, this is the way forward".
