When asked about the team’s approach, "If our style is working, why change?" replied Dani Olmo, scorer of three goals during the European Championships, two days before Spain and England meet in the final of the competition.

If he scores on Sunday, he will have scored in all the knockout stages of this summer’s tournament, something unheard of in the history of the European Championships, but Dani is not too concerned by such feats, explaining, "as long as we win, I don't care if it's me or Unai Simón who gets the goal. The important thing is that we keep scoring and win the game. We're focused on what's important to us: winning the European Championship twelve years since the last time".

To this end, the Spain forward believes that the role of the Spanish fans is proving vital and that this Sunday "there will be 11,000 people supporting us in the stands and 48 million from Spain. That motivates us a lot. We have felt very close to the Spanish fans in every game, including the one against Germany".

Dani Olmo's spectacular performances throughout the competition has put him on the back pages across the entirety of planet football, something that has come to him "in a tournament like this in which I have felt very good and in a great patch of form, perhaps the best of my career. "I feel at my best physically and very prepared. We are one match away from glory and we are very motivated to achieve it. Personal recognition comes on its own, what matters to me is the team and we're going to win.

England will be a very tough opponent, in Dani's opinion, for a Spain side that has already beaten three former World Cup winners on route to the final and needs to beat another to lift the trophy, although for the Spain international "to win the European Championships you have to beat the best. We are just one step away from achieving it and I think our play has been exemplary. We have also had to suffer in several matches, although we are playing very well. We're not worried about how far we've come or how far England have come. Sunday will be a different game," said the scorer of three crucial goals during the tournament in Germany.
