This year marks the first decade since Barcelona's David Raya packed his bags and headed to England to make a name for himself as one of the most outstanding goalkeepers in the Premier League.

Last week he became the hero for his table-topping London club Arsenal with his penalty shoot-out heroics in the Champions League tie against Porto. With that glory fresh in his memory, today he says he feels "very confident in his ability to be able to help the national team. I'm very proud to have helped my team reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League and now it's time to focus on what's coming next.

Having already bagged two caps for the National Team, the Catalan is comfortable in the training camp and says the players “talk about everything and take pride in seeing the young players rise up to the national team level. They have a touch of magic and they show it in every game.

With Iker Casillas as a role model, David Raya hopes that returning to the British capital, where Spain will travel this Thursday to face Colombia, will be a success. For this trip, as any other, Raya always sticks to the same mindset, which he summarised as "improving in everything, keeping an open mind regarding everything the coach asks of us and helping the team at all times".
