The Law of Attraction, in which he is a firm believer, seems to be working at all levels for David Raya, who continues to win titles and grow professionally both at his current club, Arsenal, in London, and with the Spanish national team.

30 months after his debut and after winning the Nations League and the European Championships with the country’s favourite team, the Catalan goalkeeper is in the position to possibly take on the responsibility of defending the Spanish goal in the opening match this Thursday against Serbia in Belgrade in the latest edition of the Nations League.

The goalkeeper from the city of Barcelona is ‘very happy to be back here representing my country and if I get the chance to play, I will give everything to win the games’.

Serbia and Switzerland are the challenges this week in the first international window of the season following last summer's success at the European Championships. Raya emphasises the character of the team, explaining ‘we have a strong winning mentality. We were European champions, but that's in the past. The group is very excited to win again and bring Spain more joy’.

That joy will come from winning the Nations League, and the goalkeeper states emphatically that the squad are looking forward to competing for this Nations League and we're going to give it our all, plus we know that it's a very special time for the group after being crowned European champions’.

Despite the success at the Berlin Olympic Stadium, he says, ‘it's already in the past and now we'll go all out for this next challenge,’ he said on Tuesday, the day before the team's trip to the Balkans.
