De la Fuente: "We will continue with our plan".

The manager makes it clear that the result at Hampden Park does not change his approach and points out that the players followed the established plan for the match

Luis de la Fuente appeared in the press room at Hampden Park saying that, despite his logical disappointment with the result (2-0), he was satisfied with what he had seen in terms of play. According to the coach, the players had interpreted what had been planned for the match and there were some of the kinds of things Luis de la Fuente wanted to see.

"I want to work in the future on an idea that I have recognized; I think we have had situations that could have changed the match, but we have suffered two accidents, two isolated situations", summed up, in one sentence, the manager."

We weren’t able to capitalize on scoring chances", he indicated; but he also assured to have confidence in the players. "The goals, working in this way, will come," he said. 

"We will continue with our plan," said the manager, who insisted: "This is the way forward, our problem is that, right now, until June, we don't have another chance.

"I have recognized approaches that we have worked on in these few days, for example, playing with width at the ends; or arriving on the wing and centering; and that is what we are going to continue with", concluded De la Fuente.
