Dozens of children meet their favourite players at the Spain Meet & Greet in Pontevedra

This afternoon, the Spanish National Team held the traditional meet & greet, where fans were able to meet the players, take photos with them and take an autographs or two home with them. Three women's football clubs also were represented among the attendees for the question and answers to Athenea del Castillo, María Méndez and Tere Abelleira, who are all fan favourites.

There we met Noel, a seven-year-old boy who wanted to meet Tere Abelleira, as his mother has always told him about her because she used to look after the player when she was little. His father, Ángel, explained that in the block where they lived they were all like a family and that she was always on the football pitch with a ball at her feet.

We also met Lucía, who came with an instant camera in her hand to take a photo with the players. While waiting for the photos to develop, Athenea, Teresa and María have signed their autograph so that she has a souvenir that she will always carry with her (in her mobile phone case, as she herself confesses) and that she will never forget.
