The Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will be in charge of the Spain-Germany match

The Dutch referee Danny Makkelie was born 39 years ago in Curaçao, and he will be in charge of the match between Spain and Germany in the second matchday of Group E at Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Dutch referee will be accompanied by Steegstra Hessel and De Vries Jan as assistant referees, Romanian Kovacs istvan as fourth official and Dutch Van Boekel Paulus as VAR in the VOR room. He will also have the help of the Italian Irrati Massimiliano as AVAR, Qatari Al Marri Taleb, who will be in charge of offsides, and the Italian’s Paolo Valeri in support duties.

Danny Makkelie was born in Willemstad, Curaçao, on 28 January 1983, and he has been an international referee since 2011. He will referee the second match of the internationals coached by Luis Enrique.

The match will take place on Sunday 27 June at 20:00 (Spanish peninsular time) at Al Bayt Stadium.
