Elvira Andrés, the new Director of the Presidency Office of the RFEF

A lawyer and expert in sports law, she has spent a significant part of her professional career in institutional transparency and compliance.

Elvira Andrés Monte (Madrid, 1976) was appointed as the new Director of the Presidency Office of the RFEF on Thursday. She holds a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and has extensive training and experience in sports law. Her professional journey has been closely linked to the sports world for the past 21 years.

She has worked with organizations such as the National Futsal League (2002-2004) and the Spanish Basketball Federation, FEB (2002-2018). She served as the Secretary-General of the latter from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, she was a member of the Appeals Commission of FIBA Europe and provided external compliance advisory services to other sports organizations.

Within the RFEF, Elvira Andrés has held various roles, including Compliance Officer (2018-2020), Head of Integrity (2020-2022), and Vice President of the federation (since 2020). In recent times, after taking charge of Corporate Protection, her main projects have been related to child protection, and she played a key role in the creation of the Protocol for the Protection of Children and Adolescents presented a few months ago.

"We cannot lag behind society."

Elvira Andrés outlines her intentions for leading the Presidency Office of the RFEF, looking at a society that, in her own words, "expects transparency and good governance from institutions." She explained, "Institutions cannot afford to lag behind the citizens."

"We must meet those social needs in critical areas such as equality, sustainability, transparency... The RFEF will be a benchmark in these areas," emphasized Elvira Andrés. She added, "We must not waste a minute in getting to work on this task."
