Englishman Anthony Taylor to referee the quarter-final against Germany.

The British match official also refereed the 2021 UEFA Nations League final against France.

The German and Spanish national teams clash on Friday 5 July in Stuttgart to decide which team will be the first to reach the semi-finals of the European Championships.

The match in Stuttgart will be refereed by British match official Anthony Taylor, assisted on the sidelines by his compatriots Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn, with Slovakia's Ivan Kruzliak acting as fourth official.

Born 45 years ago in Wythenshawe, near Manchester, Taylor has held a FIFA badge for 11 years and in October 2021 was in charge of the UEFA Nations League final between France and Spain at Milan's San Siro stadium, as well as the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier in against Sweden in Solna.

For Friday's quarter-final, Anthony Taylor will be assisted from the VAR studio by Poland's Bartosz Frankowski as video assistant referee and Italy's Massimiliano Irrati as video assistant referee.
