FC Barcelona: Into the final after a glut of goals.

Except for the second leg of the semi-finals, the Catalans have scored four or more goals in every match of their cup run. A win in Seville would level the score at four apiece in head-to-head Clásicos in Copa del Rey finals.

FC Barcelona have reached the final of the Copa del Rey Mapfre in emphatic fashion, dominating throughout the tournament with big wins against tough opponents.

They kicked off against UD Barbastro (0-4), with Eric García, Pablo Torre, and a brace from Lewandowski securing their place in the next round against the Aragonese side. Next up were Real Betis Balompié (5-1), who gave them a guard of honour after Barça’s Spanish Supercopa triumph. Five different players got on the scoresheet, though Koundé—unaccustomed to scoring due to his position—will surely remember the one-two with Lamine Yamal that ended in a him volleying in.

In the quarter-finals, Barça faced Valencia CF (0-5), a match that saw Ferran Torres steal the spotlight with a very special hat-trick at the ground he once called home.

Then came the first leg against Atlético de Madrid (4-4), a true feast for the eyes packed with drama. Barça fell behind but mounted a comeback, only for the game to end in a thrilling draw, setting up a tense second leg. Back in the Spanish capital, Ferran was on target again—now the team’s top scorer in the competition with five goals—netting the decisive goal (0-1) to knock out Atlético. Now, with the final in La Cartuja ahead, Hansi Flick’s men will chase their 32nd trophy while also aiming to level the tally of Clásico encounters in Copa finals, currently standing at 4-3 in Real Madrid’s favour.
