Fiamma returns to the place where she was crowned U19 European champion

The player from Alicante returns to the Den Dreef Stadium in Leuven (Belgium), the place where she won the European Under-19 Championships with the Spanish National Team, beating Germany in the final.

Leuven and Den Dreef will always be special for Fiamma Benítez. The midfielder from Denia looks back eight months and tells how she experienced the final of the European Under-19 Tournament in which Spain beat Germany in the penalty shoot-out.

Fiamma, a starter on the night for the team coached by Sonia Bermúdez for the showpiece event, still to this day gets emotional when she steps on the pitch at the Den Dreef in Leuven. A stadium that makes her remember the nerves in the build up to the match, the team's team spirit in the dressing room, the unfortunate injury Wifi (Lucía Moral) picked up and her promise to the Cordovan player.

Eight months later, Fiamma returns to the same stage, this time with the senior national team. Ahead, a new and exciting challenge for Montse Tomé's team: to start off on the right foot on the road to the European Championships in Switzerland 2025.
