FIFA’s official visit to the RFEF base camp in Qatar 

The president, Luis Rubiales, welcomed FIFA’s Deputy Secretary General, Mattias Grafstr​​öm and Manolo Zubiria, Director of Competitions. 

The Spanish delegation has settled perfectly in the University of Qatar and the excellent base camp prepared by the Real Federación Española in Doha. This Saturday, the President, Luis Rubiales, joined by Director of Strategy and International Relations for the RFEF, Jorge Mowinckel, welcomed an official visit from FIFA. Representing FIFA was Deputy Secretary General Mattias Grafström, and Director of Competitions Manolo Zubiria. Both organizations displayed cordiality and friendliness throughout the entire visit. 

On behalf of the most important football organization, the leaders of FIFA wanted to give a warm welcome to the Spanish delegation while also viewing the remarkable facilities where the Spanish national team have stayed and worked since landing in Doha early Friday morning. 

 

President Luis Rubiales alongside Grafström and Zubiria were able to share insights and discuss the upcoming start of the World Cup in Qatar. They also discussed possibilities for the Spanish national team, one of the most expected teams in Doha, which brought together hundreds of journalists for their first training on the field at the University of Qatar. 

On Sunday, the ball will get rolling with the match between the host’s team and Ecuador.
