First training session of camp - with fans cheering on from the stands

Montse Tomé's players trained at the Ciudad del Fútbol under the adoring eyes of an incredibly dedicated fan base who turned up in great numbers and were lucky enough to be able to have their photograph taken with their stars.

The Spanish national team today held its first training session of the current training camp in which the qualification for Euro 2025  is up for grabs. Montse Tomé's team took to the pitch at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas to the beat of the fans' chants, as the session was open to the public.

A large number of children and adults of all ages were able to enjoy watching the players get on the ball for the first time of this international meet up as they prepare to face Denmark on 1 and 4 May in Vejle and Tenerife. At the end of the training session, all the players stopped for selfies and  autographs with all the fans who wanted to meet their idols.

During the session, in addition to those called up, five players from Laura del Río's U-23 national team were also training: Fiamma Benítez, Nerea Nevado, Julia Bartel, Clara Pinedo and Erika González. A little later, Leila Ouahabi joined the training camp in place of Olga Carmona. Tomorrow's training session, which will be behind closed doors, will start at 11.50am.
