Frenchman, François Letexier, to referee the Last 16 match.

The French referee will be assisted on the sidelines by his compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni.

The match between Spain and Georgia for a place in the quarter-finals of the European Championships has now been appointed with the French match official François Letexier as the head referee for the encounter to be played on Sunday 30 June at 9 p.m. at the Cologne stadium.

Born 35 years ago in Brittany, France, Letexier has already refereed the Spanish national team in the Nations League match against the Czech Republic on 5 June 2022 in Prague, which ended in a two-goal draw.

The Breton referee will be assisted on the sidelines by his compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni, while Serdar Gozubuyuk from the Netherlands will act as fourth official.

In the VAR room, Frenchman Jérome Brisard will act as video assistant official, assisted by Willy Delajod and Paolo Valeri.

François Letexier has held an international referee's badge for seven years, and in that time he has officiated important matches in the history of Spanish football such as the UEFA Europa League final between Villarreal CF and Manchester United in 2021 and last year's European Super Cup title match between Sevilla FC and Manchester City.
