From Berlin to Paris in search of a historic double
Fermín López shows with his motivation, enthusiasm and excitement that he has arrived in Paris with the intention of rounding off an unforgettable year in style. His beaming a mile is a true reflection of the moment he is going through at just 21 years of age: "It has been a dream year, because of what I have experienced at the European Championships, my first title as a professional and with my country", says the Andalusian player, who is already looking forward ambitiously: "I am very happy and now let's see if we can achieve the double".
This Friday he joined up with the Olympic football team's training camp in Paris. "I'm very happy to be here with my teammates, and I'm looking forward to competing and winning the gold medal". He is not afraid to express his great objective and that’s why he is already here working with his teammates, a team he knows well: "I know many of them, I think there is a great group with great players and we can do great things".
Just six days after winning the European Championships in Berlin, he faces the next big challenge of his up and coming career: "I'm looking forward to keeping on growing, helping the team and doing well at the Games".
The athlete from El Campillo is having a dream season, one that he wants to finish with a historic double.
