From Caracas to Madrid to see the National Team in one skin

The Delgado family have been living in our country for six years and, this Tuesday, they finally got to greet their idols at the Ciudad del Fútbol.

This 26 March is no ordinary day for the Delgado family, who arrived six years ago from Venezuela, and who with Alejandro and his sons Iker and Santiago are going to see the Spanish national team play live for the first time.

"Spain has always been an country of integration and, like Venezuela, has traditionally received many immigrants. It's the same culture that we have at home, that we are all equal", explains Alejandro, who is of Galician and Canarian descent and who one day, after several visits as a tourist, decided to settle with his family in Madrid.

His sons Iker and Santiago, both footballers, were among the fans of the national team who, prior to the match against Brazil, enjoyed a joyful get-together at the Ciudad del Fútbol with players of the stature of Dani Carvajal, Aymeric Laporte and Joselu Mato.

"Respect is the most important thing in sport so that everyone can enjoy it," says fourteen-year-old Santiago, who, along with his father and twin brother, is looking forward to a great match at the Santiago Bernabéu: "We'll win 3-0," they state emphatically.
