Generation Lamine
They are Dani Serrano, Óscar Macías and Daniel González, all born in 2007, friends, residents of Badajoz and this Wednesday, united by the dream of meeting an idol of the same age: Lamine Yamal.
The youngest player to play for Spain today shared a meeting with the fans, together with his national teammates Unai Simón and Fabián Ruiz during the morning before the warm-up match against Andorra in the regional capital of Badajoz.
Thanks to good fortune, the two Danis and their friend Óscar, players at local clubs Santa Isabel and CD Gévora, were able to have their photos taken, get autographs and share a conversation with the young Spain international.
"We have been very lucky, because some people with tickets dropped out at the last minute and that has allowed us to be with the players. Lamine, who was born in 2007 like us, is my idol and I managed to get him to send a message to my brother, who would have loved to be here,’ says Dani Serrano, who is also the only one of the three who shares Lamine Yamal's favourite club.
This Wednesday, however, it is the Spanish national team and its players that unite these three friends, eager to celebrate a victory for the country's favourite team from the stands of a Nuevo Vivero, which will be full for the vital tournament warm-up match against Andorra.
