The Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo will host the sixth qualifying match for Spain in the Eurocopa this Sunday, starting at 8:45 PM, the first in which the team led by Luis de la Fuente can secure their ticket to Germany.

Interestingly, a referee from that country, Tobias Stieler from Hesse, has been designated to officiate the match against the Nordic team.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mikel Merino played six years ago in the match refereed by Stieler between Spain and Portugal, corresponding to the U-21 Eurocopa in Poland.

Born 42 years ago in the town of Obertshausen and based in Hamburg, Tobias Stieler obtained FIFA international status in 2014, and Sunday's match will be the first in his career officiating the Senior National Team, although he did referee the U-21 victory against Portugal in the 2017 Eurocopa, with the participation that day of the now called up Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mikel Merino.

Stieler will be assisted on the sidelines this Sunday by his compatriots Christian Dietz and Mark Borsch, with Tobias Reichel acting as the fourth official. In the VAR room, fellow Germans Bastian Dankert and Marco Fritz will be present.
