The Euros have begun and, following Spain’s thrashing of Portugal, the national team finds themselves in the top position of the table. With the 5–0 win over the Portuguese in a match dominated from start to finish by Montse Tomé’s side. The national team kicked off in the best possible way and are leaders of Group B, level on points with Italy, who in the other group match secured a 0–1 victory over Belgium thanks to Caruso’s goal on the stroke of half-time.
