Hansi Flick: “It was a perfect night”

The German coach analysed FC Barcelona’s victory at the press conference also attended by Ferran Torres, who highlighted that “we believed until the very end”

Hansi Flick arrived at the press room after lifting his first Copa del Rey, and the first thing he did was to highlight the performance produced m by his FC Barcelona team, stating that “I am very proud of my team. It is incredible that these players always have an answer and keep fighting on the pitch.”


Regarding the match, the German explained that “Today was incredible. Real Madrid had a very good second half, but Jules appeared when it mattered. It was great to see how they came back again today. It was a perfect night.”

Flick also wanted to highlight the work of the FC Barcelona coaching staff and his objective since arriving: “I am here to create an atmosphere in the dressing room where the players can enjoy playing football and bring out their best. That the players see that we trust them and that we will go together until the end.”


Finally, the Catalan team’s coach did not want to overlook the atmosphere experienced during the final, stating that “the fans were fantastic today. The atmosphere has been fantastic throughout the day, with the fans in the streets, seeing the joy on their faces. I am very happy to be able to celebrate such a huge victory like today’s with them.”

After the coach, Ferran Torres, MOTM in the Copa del Rey final, appeared in the press room, and the first thing he did was to highlight one of FC Barcelona’s strengths: “This team never loses hope, and today we showed it once again. Today we showed our winning spirit.”


Referring to the moment of euphoria the team is experiencing, the forward explained that “I think it hasn’t sunk in yet. We showed heart and turned it around because we believed until the end.”


To conclude, Ferran wanted to express his gratitude to the Barcelona fans, highlighting that “the fans were our twelfth man, they pushed us when we needed it, and they were key in turning it around.”
