Iberdrola bids farewell to the national team with a grand tribute to women's sports

Weightlifter Lydia Valentín and Paralympic athlete Desirée Vila have served as ambassadors for the sponsor of the national team

Less than 24 hours before departing for Denmark to continue their World Cup preparation, the Spanish Women's National Team received a strong boost of encouragement on Monday with a visit from their sponsor.

The Sustainable Ciudad del Fútbol served as a farewell venue by Iberdrola for the players and coaching staff, who, after their training session, were able to share impressions and receive words of encouragement from the CEO of the company in Spain, Mario Ruiz-Tagle.

Two great competitors and national references in women's sports, weightlifter Lydia Valentín and Paralympic athlete Desirée Vila, acted as ambassadors for Iberdrola, exchanging experiences and insights with the international football players.

Representing the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the Director of Women's Football, Ana Álvarez, attended the meeting, where the entire national team listened to advice conveyed through a video by great Spanish champions such as synchronized swimmer Ona Carbonell.

The presentation of personalized shirts to the CEO of Iberdrola and the two attending ambassadors from the sponsor of the Women's National Team served as the culmination of an event that filled the footballers with strength and optimism as they prepare to face the great World Cup challenge for Spain this summer.
