Inauguration of the exhibition 'El viaje hacia la estrella' in Pontevedra

This afternoon sees the inauguration of the exhibition 'El viaje hacia la estrella', which translates as 'The Journey to the Star', in Pontevedra, the venue for the Spanish National Team’s fifth UEFA Women's Nations League match on 1 December against Italy.

This open-air exhibition at The Pontevedra Provincial Council Museum traces the Spanish national team’s steps along their path to glory at the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, right up until the moment they lifted the trophy and earned the famous embroidered star that they had so longed for. The event was attended by Rafael Louzán, president of the Royal Galician Football Federation, Valentín García, general secretary of Linguistic Policy of the Xunta de Galicia and Rafael Domínguez, vice-president of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra.

This journey is captured through 17 photographs that portray moments of joy, anguish and emotion, focusing not only on the sporting level, but also on the most personal of moments, reflecting the motto that always accompanies the National Team: Play, fight and win.
