He has talent, flair, quality, dribbling ability and magic. A player who captivates onlookers with his football.

“The excitement of playing for your country never fades. I’m here to enjoy the moment”

At 33 years of age, Isco Alarcón returns to the Spanish National Team after putting in outstanding performances at Real Betis, the team he led to their first European final.

On 10 June 2019, at the Bernabéu and against Sweden (3-0), the Málaga-born player, wearing the number 10 shirt, played his last minutes with the national side during the Euro 2020 qualifying phase, having earned 38 caps and scored 12 goals up to that point with the national team.

Now, six years later and under the guidance of Luis de la Fuente, the skilful midfielder returns full of excitement to fight for the UEFA Nations League. The injuries, the bitter moments, the setbacks… are all behind him. The best version of Isco will try to add his first senior international title to his spectacular list of honours in Germany.

“Passion is what has brought me here again”
