Jenni Hermoso on another dream night for Spain

The Madrid midfielder talks about her experience of the semi-final against the Netherlands and the goal that opened the scoring and put Spain on the road to Paris 2024.

In Jenni's own words, yesterday was "a day to remember, a dream day". One that will be hard to top, even for a player with such an illustrious career behind her. In a great match, the Spanish team achieved a double objective, reaching another final (Wednesday 28 February at 19:00 at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville) and qualifying for the women's Olympic Games for the first time.

For Jenni, the 2024 Olympic Games were already on the calendar: "We always dreamed of being there and today we have fulfilled that dream," she said with a smile. "I'm very happy, another milestone has been reached and we've made history again," said the Tigres Femenil player.

She also described the genius behind Spain's first goal: "I controlled the ball, I jinked to one side and then to the other, and then I hit it with my left foot. To score a goal like that in this shirt is something to be proud of.

"This team, when we play our football, we have very specific ideas about how we want to play. We went into the World Cup wanting to win it, and today we played with our hearts set on going to the Olympics. Now their next goal is clear: "We want to win the Nations League.
