Congratulations: "I would like to praise our U19 national team because they are going to play in another European Championship final.
On the players’ recovery: "Athenea is already training with the group and Ivana Andrés has some calf discomfort and is seeing how it develops".
On the key to the match: "I'm sure that Japan will be the team that will ask the most questions of us. They’ve got a good style of play, they have players of great quality and tactically they are very well coached. We will both have our chances and whoever is more clinical in the final third will win".
On playing Japan: "It's a motivating match for us. We've already won against them this year, but we need to improve on the performance we gave in the win at La Cartuja".
On the spirit: "Spain always go out to win games, we don't think about any other result. We don't waste a second thinking about who might or might not play us in later rounds. Tomorrow's game is important, but not decisive.
On the tournament: "We're seeing very close results at the World Cup. It's the tournament with the highest level we've seen".
On the differences: "So far we've played opponents with a low block and on our side near total domination of possession. Tomorrow it won't be like that, there will be a lot of battles all over the pitch but it will be set-pieces and quality in the final third that will decide it".
"Spain always go out to win games, they don't think about any other result.
On how the team’s progressing: "The team is improving as the tournament goes on. We're getting better and better, we're becoming more unified , more and more automatic in our play, and you can see that in the defence. Tomorrow the way they attack us will be different and we are preparing ourselves so that they can’t have such an impact on the game".
On the objectives: "To win the match, play well and in a way people associate with Spain, and for all the players to get through the game injury free".
On the threats: "They are a very complete team with versatile players like Sugita, Endo and Tanaka. It's very rare to see them make a mistake with their control or a pass. The most striking thing about them is their style of play. They’re an intelligent team and very well coached".
On relocating: "We have been very happy in Palmerston North and have felt very much at home. We are now in Wellington for logistical and acclimatisation reasons."
On their forwards: "Both Alba and Esther can play together. In training they are focused, they score goals and they are versatile. We are a team of 23 players.
On expectation: "The bigger the crowd, the better. We love playing in full stadiums.
Memories: "Our players are very competitive and finals, like the 2018 U-20 final against Japan, leave a mark. The players who were there will have a boost to go for the win tomorrow".
On the pitch: "We had the experience of playing the first game in this stadium and we didn't get the impression that it was a slippery playing surface.
