Jorge Vilda and Irene Guerrero have held a press conference ahead of tomorrow's match against Panama (9:00 pm on Teledeporte).

The national coach wanted to emphasize that their opponent will demand a lot from them and he hopes that the national team will bid farewell to Spain with a victory in front of a full stadium: "We have to remember that Panama is a World Cup team. They are a selection that has eliminated teams like Mexico. I have great respect for them and their level. I don't see them as a lesser team, but as a good opportunity to prepare for the World Cup. They are an organized and tough team. The fact that everything is sold out in Avilés is great news. I hope the fans enjoy it a lot and Spain has a good farewell."

He highlighted that the players' physical condition after returning from vacation has been very positive: "These have been two demanding weeks. We know that everything we work on will be very beneficial for the World Cup.

The players have completed their individual training during the holidays and they are handling the intense training loads very well. There is a great atmosphere witam."

Jorge Vilda also wanted to mention the reception the squad will have at the Román Suárez Puerta stadium in Avilés, where all tickets have been sold. Furthermore, he explained that the final list of players for the World Cup will be the most difficult one he has ever made: "We are really looking forward to tomorrow. The pitch is in perfect condition and we have gathered information. What we expect is to play well, be in good spirits, and for all the players to finish the match in good shape. This is a game that will help us make decisions, knowing that I have been working with the entire staff during these two weeks because we are facing the hardest list selection of my life."

Irene Guerrero talked about how the team approaches the match and the importance of winning while displaying their style of play: "It's not just about winning, but how we do it."

On one hand, she highlighted the versatility of the players to adapt to any system of play: "The important thing is that teammates can provide versatility. Each one can bring different things and can adapt to different situations. We are a team and we all contribute.

On the other hand, the player explained that they have had time to disconnect from a hectic end of the season while continuing to work to arrive at the concentration in the best conditions: "When the season ended, we had time to disconnect. When I rest mentally, my body wants me to put on the work gear. I don't understand life any other way. Physically, I have arrived in very good shape and I have prepared myself to be in the best conditions. It's a luxury to be here in Avilés, with this pitch and the reception from the public."
