Laia Aleixandri: "We have a beautiful but demanding road ahead of us".

The player from Santa Coloma de Gramenet appeared before the media three days before the first EURO 2025 qualifier against Belgium.

Laia Aleixandri acknowledged that she is in some of the best form of her career, both at club and international level.

The recent UEFA Women's Nations League winner spoke about the national team's imminent double-header on their way to the European Championships in Switzerland in 2025.

The Spanish international also spoke of the difficulty of continuing to win once a team has already tasted success: "Now we've just won and we have to keep winning. That is the demand placed upon all of us who are here. It will be a beautiful but challenging path", Aleixandri assured.

As for the national team's next objectives, the Catalan player is focusing on the two qualifiers for the European Championships against Belgium and the Czech Republic, before thinking about next summer's Olympic Games in France.

Finally, Laia Aleixandri looked back on the emotions she felt winning the UEFA Women's Nations League with the rest of her Spanish team-mates. "Whenever you win a title, you remember all the hard work that got you there. I have very nice memories of the Nations League".

Before the press conference, the team trained on Pitch A at the Ciudad del Fútbol in the company of U-23 internationals Nerea Nevado and Sandra Estévez.
