Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest goalscorer in Euros history

A spectacular left-footed strike against France makes him the first player to score under 18 years of age

16 years, 11 months and 26 days. That is the unprecedented record showing quite how ahead of his time Lamine Yamal is and yet, he has managed to score a massive goal at the European Championships.

And it wasn't just any goal, it was a long-range curling effort from 25 metres out and fired at 102 kph into a helpless Mike Maignan's top corner to level the match against France in Munich.

No player under the age of 18 has ever achieved such a feat in European Championships history and the Catalan, who in October last year became the youngest goalscorer in the 104-year history of the national team, rightfully entered the golden history books of world football at a young age on Tuesday.
