The adventure begins: the Spanish national team is already in Doha

The Spanish internationals landed after 1:30 in the morning and moved to the place that will be their headquarters for this World Cup.

The roadmap that has taken the Spanish national team to Qatar 2022 came to an end in the early hours of this Friday morning. It marks the start of the great sporting event. The plane that took our internationals from Amman, Jordan, to Doha, the Qatari capital, landed at Doha's airfield after half past one in the morning.

The whole national team travelled from the airport to Qatar University, which will be their headquarters and operations centre during the World Cup. It is a fully customised space, so that the entire Spanish delegation will feel truly at home during their stay in Qatar.

This Friday, the team will hold their first training session at 19:00 (17:00 peninsular time) to start their preparatory work for the World Cup opening match against Costa Rica on the 23rd November. The first 20 minutes of Friday's training session can be followed live on the RFEF broadcasting channels.

The national team arrives at the World Cup after a brief stopover in Jordan, where last Thursday they played a friendly match against the local national team. The match left very good impressions wining 1-3 and the warmth of the Jordanian fans who did not disappoint. It was a good way to start the adventure that we all hope it will not finish until 18th December, in the final of this World Cup.
