"We deserve it. The team has grown a lot and is a team for the future." With these words of satisfaction and pride for his players, Luis de la Fuente summarized the joy experienced by all of Spanish football thanks to the success achieved this Sunday by the national team in Oslo.

Spain achieved a brilliant victory and qualification against Norway in a match that, for the manager from La Rioja, was "one of the most complete matches we've played, with a lot of maturity. I felt calm and confident because I saw the team very secure and controlling the pace of the match."

"The whole team has been exceptional in the defensive aspect, and we have reliable central defenders for the future," De la Fuente continued, who did not want to "single out anyone in particular for what has been achieved. It's our responsibility and obligation. Football puts you up one day and down the next, and you have to find the balance."

Looking ahead to what's to come, the manager points out, "we always look forward, and we have a very good foundation for the present and the future. Competitions lift you up and bring you down. We'll see at what level we are when the Eurocopa comes. I am tremendously optimistic, and we will fight to be at the top. There is room for improvement, and the challenges and demands are growing."

A great supporter of the national players, the one from Haro had words of praise for Gavi, the scorer of the matches’ goal, and left a final reflection on the meaning of the feat achieved in Oslo: "All of this is very good for Spanish football because it arouses excitement and joy," he commented with a touch of emotion in his words.
