The coach will be accompanied by Miguel Ángel España, goalkeeping coach of the national team, in a very attractive clash that already took place in the semifinals of the last Supercopa de España. On that occasion, the Catalans won in a penalty shootout.
De la Fuente continues to work on the players’ follow-up before his first match at the helm of the National Team. This match will take place in March. In that period, Spain will play on Saturday 25 in Malaga against Norway (La Rosaleda stadium) and on Tuesday 28 in Glasgow against Scotland. Both matches are part of the qualifiers for the 2024 European Championship, which will be held in Germany.
The current season is full of challenges for the national team. In addition to the qualifiers for the European Championship, there is the final four of the UEFA Nations League.
